Another round of We ❤ Roleplay – July has opened this holiday weekend and despite some initial landmark issues, I managed to sneak in late last night after my house guests had toddled off to bed to get some items and snap a few photos.
Faithful stalkers will attest to my addiction to antlers and horns. It seems lately that there has been a new wave of horn and antler makers that have hit the scene which has cranked up the quality of these badboys tremendously. Materials and mesh have done wonders not only for clothing, accessories and buildings but the fantasy world is really where mesh and materials have made a significant splash. Gone are the days of being restricted to a torus horn.
Plastik has made a splash with these Nyraxis Horns. 20 different colors to start with and a HUD to change the colors of ALL THE THINGS on them. THey also come available with two attachment points. Materials enabled is the way to go with these as they are simply stunning in the light. A huge win.
The Forge is a designer that I’ve been following for awhile. These new shoulder pads, The Gorged Pauldron, comes in bronze, steel, black, black/red and gold. The detailing on these pauldrons is absolutely fantastic. They’re battleworn, scarred and look like they’ve seen more than their fair share of the end of a sword.
Eudora 3D has returned to We ❤ Roleplay with these flawless TechnoMancer goggles. Not the standard fare of two round eye-socket covers and some mechanical bits, Eudora has gone full wrap-around with this leather based mask behind the highly detailed metal bits. Like all of the Euodora line, they come in 5 muted color schemes each with a hud to change the colors of the eyes to one of 8 complementing shades.
Rounding out the horn collection for me for this year is the Eldir Headpiece and Horns from Keystone. The latest trend of draping cords and wraps and beads from your horns is heightened in this set by the addition of the separately attached, three-ring headpiece. Available in three base hues (golden, barkish and silver), these could be used for a lot of different scenarios and, indeed, with the right hair you can just wear the headpiece sans horns but.. why would you want to do that? Horns, FTW.
I hope all you ‘muricans had a great holiday weekend and are nursing those hangovers properly. I, myself, had a houseful since Thursday night and will be returning to the quiet life this afternoon. Its been lovely with my framily. (Friends who are family, no it wasn’t a typo)
